The Nigeria Spelling Bee is divided into two distinct categories. The Senior and the Junior. These categories are AGE-BASED and NOT based on whether the student is in Primary, Jnr. or Snr Secondary school.

Senior Category:

  • Senior spellers must STILL BE 16yrs OR BELOW at November 2021 (Please do the necessary calculations).
  • Senior spellers must not have passed SS2 or be writing their UTME, WAEC or Senior NECO in the 2021 Academic Session.
  • The advised minimum age for the Senior category is 13years (this is not a restriction on younger outstanding spellers).

Junior Category:

  • Junior spellers must STILL BE 13yrs OR BELOW as at November 2021 (Please do the necessary calculations).
  • The advised minimum age for the Junior category is 9years (this is not a restriction on younger outstanding spellers).
  • Must attend a  Primary or Secondary School in Nigeria.
  • Spellers may register under their schools or privately but must supply their school details.
  • Spellers must not have passed SS2 or be writing their UTME, WAEC or Senior NECO in the 2021 Academic Session.
  • The organizers of the Nigeria Spelling Bee may disqualify, prior to, during, or after the competition, any speller who is not in compliance with any of the Eligibility Requirements, rules of the competition or have supplied false information.

InterswitchSPAK National Science Competition 3.0 for secondary school students in Nigeria is back and it’s bigger and better;

Annual National Mathematics Competition for Primary 5&6

                                    Organized by

         Nigerian Tulip International Colleges & National Mathematical Center

     We are pleased to inform you about the upcoming traditional feast of mathematics for pupils, teachers and parents. It is the 18th edition of Annual National Mathematics Competition for Primary 5&6 pupils organized by two of the leading institutions of Nigeria in the area of education: Nigerian Tulip International Colleges (NTIC) and National Mathematical Center (NMC).

NTIC and NMC are putting a great effort to seed the love of mathematics in pupils’ hearts. However, they are not the only ones who have branded this excellent product; we owe thousands of pupils, teachers and parents all around Nigeria who are contributing to this festival with their efforts and enthusiasm. We kindly applaud every individual who adopts and supports this competition. Thank you, Nigeria!

In this booklet, you will find some detailed information about the competition. We kindly request you read through this booklet and find answers to your questions about the event.

Format of the competition:

It is worth reminding you that this competition is only for primary 5&6 pupils from public or private primary schools, all around Nigeria.

Age limit is 12 years old.

All pupils are to sit for the exam in states where their schools are registered.

Type and number of questions: Both stages of this competition are objective type examination involving 75 questions distributed as follows: 35 algebra, 15 geometry and 25 aptitude. The questions are prepared according to Nigerian Primary school syllabus but in a harder level.

Duration of the examination: A total of 120 minutes is allotted to answer all the questions.

Dates and venues for the stages and award giving ceremony: 1st Round: 19th June 2021,                 in every state of Nigeria

2nd Round: 23rd July, 2021                 NTIC Abuja and Kano

Award Giving Ceremony: 24th July, 2021   NTIC Abuja and Kano

  • NATIONAL LIFE SCIENCE COMPETITION FOR NIGERIAN SECONDARY SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES

The National Life Science Competition is aimed at inspiring all Nigerian secondary school and tertiary institution students to develop interests in life science courses or solving life science-related societal challenges

Competition Categories

  • Tertiary Institution Category: For students in Colleges, Polytechnics and Universities studying any subject.
  • Secondary School category: Open to all Nigerian secondary school students

Timeline

Phase 1 (29th March – 30th April 2021) 

Pre-qualification test: Please CLICK HERE to start the test. Participants with the highest score will be contacted with instructions on the next phase of the competition.

Phase 2 (10th May – 7th June 2021) 

Submission of Essays: Qualified participants will be required to submit a 400 – 500 words essay on the role of societies and communities in tackling pandemics. Depending on the discipline or area of interest of a participant, we want to see essays that put clear thoughts on: What can I do as an individual? Historian? Scientist? Medical practitioner? Engineer? Lawyer? IT Professional? Businessman? Government official? Entrepreneur? Innovator? Etc. We believe that all disciplines have their unique ways of tackling pandemics. 

Phase 3 (3rd – 4th July 2021) 

Life science pitch to be held online, followed by the selection of winners and award ceremony

To Participate in The Competition

  • You will need to register with your Name, Email, School, Present level of study and state of Origin. Note: All detail you provide shall be verified. Giving false information will lead to automatic disqualification. The personal data collected will only be used for the competition.
  • You can only take the quiz/test once. Duplicate submissions will be disqualified automatically.
  • The test duration is 30 minutes. Endeavour to submit within the stipulated time.
  • You are advised to ensure that the quality of your Internet is good to avoid disruption.

  • AZONETA TEACHER GRANT

We are excited to announce the AZONETA Teacher Grant, in partnership with 1MillionTeachers.

This grant will be awarded to 1000 teachers and teacher college students across sub-Saharan Africa. The beneficiaries of this grant will receive lifetime access to the 1MillionTeachers online digital platform where they will be enrolled in the Black Belt Program. This program will give teachers additional training in areas such as classroom management, educational pedagogy and best practices, along with assessment design and educational leadership. It is our hope to fully equip teachers with the training and skills they will need to further enrich their teaching and make an impact in the lives of their students across Nigeria.
